The Top XP Registry Cleaner
Windows XP was launched in 2001 and became an instant hit, with the promise of a revolutionary system which actually made computing *fun* for the first time. With millions of people (including me) still relying on this operating system to power their computers, it's no wonder that 100's of registry cleaners have been developed to clean up all the problems on it. But with so much choice, which registry cleaner is the best?
The registry is simply a database which sits at the heart of Windows. It contains all the settings and options for your PC (everything from your desktop wallpaper to your latest emails) and is a very important part of your system. It's so important that Windows is constantly adding and updating the files inside it. Every time you use your PC, Windows is actually editing 100's of registry files. This is okay, but the problem is that XP constantly gets confused about which registry files it has open, and ends up corrupting and damaging many of them by saving them wrong.
When this happens, the registry files actually become hard for your computer to read, which makes your PC slow down dramatically. And with many XP machines having 1,000's of damaged registry files, the problem is very big. So to fix this issue, registry cleaners basically scan through the registry database, and your system files, and clean out all the problematic files inside it. The best registry cleaner is actually one which cleans out the most files and even though a handful of cleaners do this pretty well, there's actually one which stands out as being the best.
"RegGenie" is my favorite registry cleaner for XP, simply because it works so well at cleaning out even the most obscure of damaged files. It has an intelligent scanning engine, which allows it to find more problems than any other cleaner... making it a very powerful tool. It also uses a backup & restore facility, which allows it to clean up as many problems as possible without the fear of your computer being damaged.

Future of the Internet - Talking to Your Computers
One of the common barriers to Internet usage has been the keyboard. Only a few amongst us have really mastered the methods of producing 100 words per minute on a keyboard. Just to prove my point I decided that I would write this article on word dictation software package called Dragon Naturally Speaking. Man I'm brave...or braid as the first draft said. The software still needs a nudge!!
With voice-based solutions gaining favor on the Internet via reputable providers such as Skype and Cisco services for voice over Internet protocol a precedent has been set a web users will more and more count on voice-based solutions.
It only stands to reason as this is the dominant way that we interact with each other. Humans preference to hear a voice and see a face. This is evident in the massive rise in popularity in Google videos and you Tube, and social networking like Facebook and MySpace.
In the next 3 to 5 years we will see the emergence of quality voice recognition software that will transform the way people interact with their computers and especially the way they browse and search the Internet. This will be a massive potential market where the most inattentive solutions will win out, and we will see big players in the market disappear as other companies take advantage. These changes will be as big as when Altavista ultimately lost to Google in the battle of the search engines. Although Google work hard to maintain their market position other companies could come and sweep the board with new solutions that take advantage of for voice integration into the user experience.
When you bring a voice into the equation the way that we search currently in our information on the Internet is via very specific keywords. Usually in a Google search there are no more than seven keywords. This limited amount of information provides the search engine with comparatively little to go on, although the way that you are geographically located plus your isp provider is also taken into consideration. Emergence of voice will change all this, people can talk far faster than they can type so searches will become much more specifically targeted in a way that a future search engine will operate will be considerably different to the current model of operation.
Ideasplantation.co.uk dedicate an amount of research time to keeping up with what we think will be one of the biggest shakeups in search engines and content in the next decade. If we are wrong then we wasted a lot of time!!! How many times in life have you talked to your computer because it behaved badly!! The frustration we all feel at some points during our interaction with computers nearly always comes out in words, and sometimes actions :-) Increasing the amount of keywords available to the search engine for any search, will only be based around how articulate the person is providing information to the computer.
Therefore keyword searches above 40 words will be common as people narrow down the search articles on material that they are looking for with Internet. Certainly this initial stage I believe that the communication will be one-way on the computer won't talk back to you. Damn that would be good... As you can imagine this is a very difficult task as people's local accents and geographical location of the mean that computer struggled to identify the exact phrase, and that this current point have to be "trained" -- which means hours of teaching your computer what you sound like saying many different types of words and this is an off putting factor.
The fact is though the technology is becoming much more advanced and as soon as real commercial applications are available for it the community of voice recognition will get its shining light. Current experts in sort search engine optimisation will have their work cut out for them. In this world content will be king in the amount of content on websites of good quality, would increase which can only be a good thing. The larger in article provide more possibilities keyword linking t for referencing those keywords to make a much more narrow, focused search for information on the Internet.
Of course this may never come to pass in this article may fall into the annals of history as a "tomorrow's world quote" scenario where we laugh at presenters from 30 years ago who predicted we would all be owning flying cars and have her own personal robots by now. Where is my robot! My robot is nowhere and nor is my hovering car, or my teleportation device. But unlike all these other scenarios are far-fetched devices that never really came to fruition, voice is already in use every day by us. Voice makes the world go around and will continue, very long time in the future and this inherent attraction of having the ability to speak to your computer and TELL it what you're looking for, will become the most invaluable service to the Internet.
Although the software is not by any means full proof it does provide you an opportunity to have your expressed words typed out in front of you on a screen. The satisfaction you get when you actually make the software work is immense. The frustration and when it does not recognise basic words can literally lead to taking off the headset and doing something else for a whole day just to get over the experience. I do follow and take notes on new developments in voice software, but there are no big signs of this revolution quite yet. The power of computing increasing according to Moore's Law we should all be able to have a supercomputer woven into our space suits in a very short amount of time! In all seriousness the increasing computing power that is available to the average person will enable computers to be able to listen in and understand the conversation in a very short amount of time. Take the example of where you would search from Plummer.
In Google you might type the words: Plummer, London West Ham cheap
in Google voice you might hypothetically say: -- I'm searching for a plumber in the local area to install the shower/give me a list of five plumbers
also in Google voice you could easily add: -- searching for a plumber in the local area to install the shower ... give me any list of five plumbers and e-mail each of them my contact details and my search and ask for a quote
As you can see the difference in the amount of keywords that you would use its phenomenal, and the extra tasks your computer could perform on your behalf will make it an irresistible tool. If you take this example and apply to such industries as car insurance, research and many other industries it will completely revolutionized the way the business is currently down Internet.
Other scenarios where we see direct brain communication between computers and humans is so far-fetched the progress so slow that these technologies will only exist far in the future. But for voice the age is dawning on the Internet.
And think of the things it will bring, with new applications where you'll be to send an e-mail within one minute with half a page of content is on all the relevant questions without having to touch a single key on the keyboard. The barrier between a few who are masters of the keyboard and the many who are one finger slaves will be eliminated immediately. Techno-savvy colleagues who can put out a five page report in half a day which you will slave over three times longer annoy you. No more with voice...it makes all of us equal, maybe with the exception of speed readers.
With quad core processors capable of millions of calculations per second technology has caught up and now all that remains is for the software providers to play the final endgame of who will become the master provider of voice services.
I believe this will be one of the most interesting times with the information that has amassed over the last 20 years will finally be unleashed through focused searches. I passionately believe that this will be the future. I believe it will happen soon. And I for one will curate my research and study around the time when this emerging technology will dominate the Internet. Hedging my bets that the future I see will be the future I speak into existence.

Wireless CCTV and Why People Use It
Wireless CCTV cameras are fast replacing traditional CCTV cameras mainly because of their ability to let you see your home or business across the internet, as opposed to on a monitor in the same building as the cameras which is what traditional CCTV was all about. Following the widespread adoption of wireless CCTV in recent years, I wanted to discover a few of the weird and wonderful ways in which people are using the technology.
To achieve this, my UK-based company recently conducted a fascinating little survey to see what it is about wireless CCTV that really makes a difference to people's lives. I'm going to share some of the results with you in this article. They contained more than a few surprises I can tell you. We asked people to finish a simple sentence and what follows are some of the interesting ways in which people answered:
I will never be without my wireless internet CCTV because...
- "When my son gets home from school, the Internet CCTV system sends me a text message and I can log in to see what he's up to!"
- "We were going to get a burglar alarm for the house, but spent the money on this camera system instead. If I am away on business and my burglar alarm is ringing on the wall, I'm hardly going to hear it am I? With this system I get a text message when something happens."
- "I paid a lot of hard-earned cash for my place in the sun and I want peace of mind that it's OK even when I am thousands of miles away. With this system I can see it any time I want, anywhere I happen to be, and if the worst happens and my house gets broken into, at least I will know about it straight away and I can get someone round there."
- "It's like having someone looking after our property 24 hours a day."
- "I sometimes take a look at my pubs at night, after closing, from wherever I happen to be. I can make sure the staff are locking up - and not drinking after hours with their mates!"
- "Back in the UK, we could show our friends and neighbours our Spanish villa - and how sunny it is right at that moment."
- "I just love new gadgets to be honest, and this is revolutionary! I can even see the house on my mobile phone, and switch the cameras on and off by sending a text message."
- "We build houses and we have a wireless camera in the show home on the development, so prospective buyers can take a look before deciding to visit."
- "When I am at work, I log in to check on the dogs."
- "We run an on-line shopping company. Our UK customers can see us at work, which gives them confidence in us and shows that there are real people behind the website."
- "It helps my property management company to attract business, because when our customers have this internet CCTV, we can get a copy of any alerts from the cameras and we're on the spot to take immediate action."
It's great to hear that people are using wireless internet CCTV in so many different ways. It definitely seems to be one of those things that once experienced, is never given up.

In the last decade, the Bluetooth technology has grown tremendously. This growth has led the companies to develop more and more Bluetooth enabled devices. These Bluetooth devices started with the Bluetooth mobiles, the Bluetooth enabled computers, followed by various accessories like speakers, headsets, mouse, keyboard and then the printer.
The Bluetooth printer is developed mainly to make the life easier. There is no geographical restriction for you with these printers. You can place your printer in the next room or next floor or even in the next building according to your wish. Only thing you need to do is that you should buy the Bluetooth printer with such a power range to suit you.
If you already own an old printer, you need not buy a new Bluetooth enabled printer. You can simply add a Bluetooth adapter to make your printer Bluetooth enabled. With these printers, you can share a single printer for the whole office premises without using wires. So it saves the money that are usually spent on the extra printers or complicated LAN connection.
Bluetooth printer adapters are best suited for the small businesses as they do not use more computers. These printers also possess some limitations with the coverage area. Usually the coverage area ranges between 30 feet to 300 feet depending on the type of hardware used. So you need to place the printer with this distance to ensure proper functioning of your printer.
Another advantage of the Bluetooth enabled printer is that you can use even your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone to print the documents and images without connecting to a computer. On the other side, if multiple users access the printer at the same instant, the printer gets hampered and gets slow. So you need to allocate time for the users to access the printer independently or should follow some other system to ensure proper functioning.
Also, if the printer is set in the discoverable mode, there is a possibility of hackers to hack the system and also to get access to your confidential data. So it is your own risk to use the Bluetooth printer.
